What is an intercessor?

An Intercessor is someone who intercedes on behalf of someone else. Like a lawyer who intervenes on behalf of those who cannot act for themselves, Intercessors go to the judge (Our Heavenly Father) and plead, beg, profess, declare, petition, request, advocate, urge, and boldly defend on someone's behalf. I submit my requests on behalf of the marketplace business owners who need us to petition the judge on their behalf.
Intercessory prayer is focused and intended for nations, Governments, pastors, leaders, families, businesses and the marketplace. An intercessor changes the world by impacting the outcome of what they are pleading for. Intercessors are history changers. They are hidden and subtle and have silent authority. They walk with God's favor in their lives and with favor to impact and change God's heart. Intercessors shake up the spiritual realm, and Satan doesn't like it. Intercessors are not timid like pussy cats but are bold as lions.
Every person prays, but not all praying people are Intercessors. We are Jesus Christ of Nazareth believers and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Intercessors have been washed with the Blood of Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit, and can speak in other tongues (heavenly language). Many types of intercessors are on earth for such a time as this. They are the watchmen, on call 24 hours, seven days a week. They are often awoken from sleep in the middle of the night to pray. We may not know what to pray about, but we learn to pray in our heavenly language at those times. We get to intercede, to pray focused and deliberate prayers.
Intercessors pray for other people's situations and circumstances and for God's mercy and grace to be upon them. We come boldly to the throne of grace with confidence and expectancy that He will hear and answer our prayers. Prayer is our passion, and we will immediately assume our roles. Intercessors may also have a strong gift of discernment and be able to discern a person's heart. Intercessors can pick up on things God allows them to see with a keen spiritual eye. An intercessor brings specific needs to God, expecting God to hear and answer the prayers in His timing. There are so many things that are on the mind of the Spirit. Intercessors pray them through.
Our prayers don't convince people or change a person, but our prayers allow Jesus to work in their lives. Whomever we are praying for they still have to choose Christ on their own. They have free will and must decide what they want for their life, and it's up to them to do the work. Our prayers release God to work in them. They decide if they want to be worked on. It takes time for God to start His work on the person we pray for. Prayer is not a one-time thing. Our prayers are working. Don't give up. When things seem to get worse, that is when the breakthrough is coming. Our prayers are standing in the gap for those who want prayer assistance. Prayer moves God to work; if we don't pray, God is not moved. Intercessors firmly believe in what they are praying for and often have more faith than those they pray for. Prayer is a lifestyle and a way of life. Prayer is the channel to the heart of God.
A faithful intercessor walks in the image of Christ. In John 20:21 (NIV), Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." We are on the earth to represent Jesus. We function in Christ's authority and ability, not our own. He is doing the work through us. We are called to be His HANDS and FEET. We are called to be His VOICE. Jesus uses us and moves through us to help others. An intercessor must be compassionate and walk in unconditional love for others.

What is the heart of an Intercessor?

Intercessors have a deep love for people. Their sole desire is to bring pleasure to God. They walk the path of integrity, humility, and forgiveness. They understand that prayer is the most potent tool in their arsenal when confronting challenges. Intercessors possess unwavering faith and the conviction that God answers prayers.
Guided by the wisdom of Philippians 4:6, they live without anxiety, entrusting every situation to God through prayer and petition, with hearts full of thanksgiving. When they pray, the presence of God is palpable, dispelling darkness and illuminating even the darkest corners. Intercessors firmly believe that light perpetually overcomes darkness. Their utterance of the prayer, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven," is like light and power radiating into the world. This prayer alone holds the potential to reshape the world, bringing transformation to workplaces and every facet of life. Colossians 3:17 underscores this devotion: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
The essence of effectual, fervent, and passionate prayer resides in the heart. A heart made whole resembles a flourishing garden, teeming with love, peace, joy, forgiveness, power, hope, righteousness, and repentance. Intercessors recognize that various factors, such as unforgiveness, anger, bitterness, resentment, rejection, fear, guilt, shame, and wrong belief systems, affect their relationship with God and others. These influences have the power to darken a heart.
Intercessors approach prayer with boundless passion, holding unwavering faith deep within their hearts. They are fervently dedicated to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. By speaking God's truth into the lives of His people, they bestow upon them a sense of hope and a vision for the future. Intercessors are a wellspring of encouragement, aiming to inspire others and genuinely caring for the well-being of all.

Persist and Overcome With Determination

You are cherished in the eyes of Father God, and His desire is for us to soar, not to falter. We are destined to lead, not to lag behind. We are designed to rise above, not to dwell beneath.
Father God's intention is for us to be resilient and operate in the authority He has granted us for the advancement of His Kingdom. He envisions us as strong, with our heads held high, walking in unwavering confidence and fortitude. Regardless of the trials and tribulations we've faced, and the lessons we've learned from them, remember that you emerge stronger because of them. The challenges we navigate provide us with the opportunity to uplift and support others.
Life undeniably presents its share of challenges, yet it's also a journey filled with joy and the potential for transformation. Even in the midst of life's trials, there is a wellspring of peace, joy, happiness, love, grace, and mercy waiting for you. Trust in the Lord, for He will provide you with the strength to persevere. Through Christ, we find our inner strength, emerging as victorious individuals, standing strong, and always ready to lend a helping hand to others.
Negative thoughts may try to infiltrate our minds, sowing seeds of defeat, criticism, discouragement, and disappointment. In these moments, we must engage in spiritual awareness, reaffirming our faith in the light of God. We do not accept these lies, and through our faith and alignment with the heart of Christ, we navigate these challenges with unwavering strength and hope.

Prayer warriors are the most frightening, powerful, demon-chasing, world-moving beings on earth. In truth, they are co-creators with God! They look at astrological predictions and rebuke them. They never wonder about the future because they are too busy creating it. Prayer warriors are positioned by God to stand in faith for their families and churches and cities. Prayer is stronger than kings and mightier than armies. Prayer is the most powerful force on earth.
